The American Strays Canine Team found poor Penelope wandering down a Detroit street, a broken dog suffering from mange, open sores, rope chafing into her skin and neglect. Her sad eyes say it all – she was dying. Luckily, she was rescued and placed in a safe shelter to recuperate before being adopted into a loving forever home. Her sad story is used to help educate children in responsible dog ownership via the Good Pet Guardian Lesson Plans for Detroit students as part of the American Strays 2030 Project.
Go on, help reduce the number of stray dogs on America’s streets in any way you can. Share this message with everyone you know and get more Penelope’s off the street and into safe hands.
